175 Thu 28/12/06 05:15 Van on fire on the forecourt of a garage on Rushington Roandabout. Given the close proximity to the previous fire, we became very suspicoius about both of the fires. It appears ythat some rag had been stufeed into the area of the engine of a small lorry, and ignited. 1 HPHR used.
174 Thu 28/12/06 04:40 Fire involving rubbish bags left out on the street, in the Brokenford area. Given the time of the monring, the initial thought was that it was an accidental fire. 1 HPHR used to deal.
173 Sun 24/12/06 19:29 Report of an AFA from inside the house where the fire had been yesterday (see shout #165). No apparent reason found for the detector to be operating, and as it was more or less in "open air" which is not an environment it would be used to, it was disconnected, and the battery removed. The building was thoroughly checked for signs of fire, and nothing found.
172 Sun 24/12/06 17:28 Chimney fire, in a farm building in the Cadnam area, A Chimney, well alight on arrival, The fire was steamed, and rods used to damp the chimney down.
171 Sun 24/12//06 12:17 SSC, car leaking petrol, outside of a convienience store, in the West Totton area. The leak was very small, but still had to be dealt with. Sand was used to mop up the spilt petrol, and the leak plugged with "Dammit".
170 Sat 23/12/06 13:57. Approximately 3 1/2 minutes after the attending officer had left the scene of the previous fire, we were called to a fire at the same address! It appears that a small area of cupboard and contents had somehow re-ignited. 1 HPHR was used to damp down, and the area was thoughly checked before leaving again.
169 Sat 23/12/06 10:32 Report of a house fire just to the north of the centre of Totton. Smoke was seen to be issuing, prior to our arrival. When we arrived we found a well developed fire consuming the entire first floor of the property, with burning debris falling down stairs and spreading the fire there. 2 BA were immediately committed, and the fire was knocked back. Unfortunately the ferocity of the fire had breached the ceiling and had spread into the roof, and eventually the roof started to collapse, at this point the BA crews were withdrawn, and the fire was fought in the roof with the aid of the ALP. The fire was doused, and damped down, and we left the scene.
168 Fri 22/12/06 18:43 SSC to assist ambulance with a cyclist who had suffered a spoke injury to his groin. A cyclist had been forced off the road, and one of the now broken spokes in his front wheel damaged him in a very delicate area!!! We assisted ambulance with the recovery of the casualty into the ambulance.
167 Wed 20/12/06 AFA at a private address in the Rushington area. A Lady householder had been spooked by the fact that a smoke alarm get on sounding, so she called us. There was no apparent sign of fire, and a faulty smoke alarm was quickly diagnosed.
166 Sat 16/12/06 16:19 Car fire, in the car park outside of Argos, Commercial Road, Totton. A car had been driven to the car park, parked up, and the driver went inside to shop. On his return he was shocked to find us there, and his car a smoking ruin. The call had been made by other member of the public. 2 HPHR were used to douse the flames. The cause was thought to be accidental.
165 Fri 15/12/06 16:54 AFA at a local authority run block of sheltered housing flats, in the Brokenford area of Totton. On arrival we were met by the occupant of the affected flat, who told us that there was no fire, and it was a false alarm. We went to investigate his flat, and found he had switched on the power to his electric cooker, to use the oven, and had left one of the cooking rings switched on. When challenged, he eventually admitted that he had left a book on the surface, and this has been burnt by the heat from the ring. Stop: small fire cooker top OOA, no action HFRS.
164 Wed 13/12/06 18:53 AFA at a local authority run block of sheltered housing flats, on the Calmore residential estate. Stop: A/C by fumes from cooking.
163 Mon 11/12/06 08:51 Electrical box on fire, At a business workshop premises on Salisbury Road. On arrival we found no fire, as the occupant had tackled it with a DP extinguisher, however there was still a problem. The roof had leaked right over the main electrical incoming and all of the switchgear, the meter, and the SEB incoming supply was all wet and arcing! the area was made safe by removing everyone , and the SEB was called to comer in and disconnect.
162 Fri 08/12/06 14:20 Animal rescue, horse in ditch. 1 elderly horse in a flooded ditch at the side of a field. With some coaxing and encouragement, the horse was persuaded to stand and move out of the water.

160 Fri 08/12/06 07:16 Report of a fire in the Water Lane area of Totton. A small fire in the airing cupboard in one bedroom. Smoke detectors had woken the family, and they had escaped, closing the door on the affected room on the way out. The airing cupboard, and contents were badly damaged, and one bedroom was smoke stained, but due to the prompt actions of the home owner, the rest of the house was relatively unscathed. 2 BA and 1 HPHR used, with PPV.
159 Wed 06/12/06 06:37 AFA at a school in the Houndsdown area of Totton. Whlist on route control informed us that a second call had been received, stating a flase alarm so we returned home.
158 Sun 03/12/06 06:33 Stand by at Redbridge Hill Fire Station. No further calls, and we returned home about three hours later.
157 Thu 23/11/06 18:09 Moped on fire in the Netley Marsh area. A small moped had been involved in a near miss with a car, unfortunately the young rider had lost control of the moped, and fallen from it. On getting up he noticed that the moped was alight. The fire destroyed the moped. 1 HPHR used to deal, and first aid was given to the young man for minor injuries he sustained in the fall.
156 Mon 20/11/06 16:31 RTC trapped, Redbridge Flyover. An incident involving three private cars, one of which had been pushed up the side wall, and all but mounted the parapet, however, no people were trapped, so we came home pretty quickly.
155 Sat 11/11/06 15:21 Roof fire in the "White City" area of Totton. A small fire in a ground floor extension roof. The roof was stripped to get at the fire, which proved to have started in an electrical junction box. 1 HPHR was used to deal.

152 Sun 05/11/06 23:48 Fire, type unknown, in the Aikman Lane area of West Totton. No fire found, but it was a foggy night, and the sodium lights from the next street were providing a eerie light that could have been mistaken for a large fire. Stop: FAGI.
151 Sun 05/11/06 20:20 report of trees on fire in the Aldamoor area of Southampton. On arrival we found we were the second pump in attendance, and the first pump had more or less dealt with the incident. We returned home.
150 Sat 04/11/06 21:42 report of fire type unknown, from an address in Ringwood Road. It took us some time to find the address, as we had to go back to the calling address to find the exact location of the fire. A bonfire was located at a business premises, and as it was well away from anything combustible, and was being supervised, we took no action.
149 Sat 28/10/06 21:05 RTC washdown, Bury Road, Marchwood. We arrived at the scene shortly after Marchwood Military Fire Service had arrived, and they were dealing with one casualty from the incident, we dealt with the other one, up until the ambulance service had enough people on site to cope. An RTC involving 1 private car that had appeared to lose control, strike a tree, and turn over in the road. The scene was made safe by HFRS, and assistance given to casualties.
148 Wed 18/10/06 23:34 cravan on fire, in the Salisbury Road Car Park, near to the centre of Totton. A group of travellers had settled int he car park, and it appears that someone had poured out some petrol underneath the rear of one of thier caravans, and set it alight. The fire had been dealt with by the ower, by the time we arrived.
147 Tue 17/10/06 21:55 Report of an LPG leaking from a ship, berthed alongside the Marine Terminal at Esso Refinery Fawley. A large vessel loaded and ready to go to sea, with a full cargo of LPG gas had developed a reasonably sized leak. Had the gas cloud have found a source of ignition this could have made a reasonable bang! and would have rattled windows for a fair distance!!! Southampton Water was closed to all traffic and the Port of Southampton was also closed. Attempts were made to close of the source of the leak, however the valve proved to be faulty, and we were standing by, expecting the worse, for some time, whilst attempts were made to repair the valve and stem the leak. Fortunately the worst did not occur, however the incident was still ongoing when we were relieved at about 05:00 and returned to home station.

144 Sat 14/10/06 12:56 AFA at a warehouse unit on Calmore Industrial Estate. The building was checked, and no sign of fire was disclosed. The Keyholder did not attend within the specified period, so we left the scene. No action by HFRS.

142 Wed 04/10/06 21:01 Whilst on Stand By at Redbridge Hill we were called to a car fire in a field, in the Hillyfields area. The car was well alight, and not causing a problem, so the Fire Express vehicle, which is under evaluation, was called in, and used to deal. 1 car severely damaged by fire.
141 Wed 04/10/06 19:49. Stand by at Redbridge Hill. An incident in Southampton had caused Redbridge to be sent to St Marys on stand by.
140 Tue 03/10/06 16:42 Whilst returning to station from the previous call we were sent on to AFA at a factory unit on the Calmore Industrial Estate. This is a known address to us, as we have been to this empty unit before ( see shout 133 etc.) On arrival we found that people were working in the unit, ripping it out, their work had damaged the fire alarm system! Stop: Electrical fault.
139 Tue 03/10/06 16:29 Grass on fire in a garden of a house in the Water Lane area of Totton. On arrival we found no one had knowledge of a fire. Stop: FAM.
138 Sat 30/09/06 18:36 Fire, possible persons reported, at a farm in the East Wellow area. A temporary static mobile home was well alight, however, there were no persons involved. The mobile home was gutted. 2 HPHR, 1 jet, and 8BA used to tackle the fire.
137 Mon 25/09/06 20:41 whilst on drill at the fire station we received a call to:-Rubbish on fire, outside of a private address in the Houndsdown area of Totton. A Back of refuse, put out for the dustmen, had been set on fire. 1 HPHR.
136 Mon 25/09/06 14:11 Shed fire at a private address in the Calmore Area. a wooden shed, on the way to being well alight on arrival, 1 HPHR and 2 BA used to tackle the fire.
135 Sun 24/09/06 08:31 SSC Baby locked in car. A toddler was in the process of being strapped into his car seat in the back of the car. He had been given the car keys to play with. On strapping him in, the mother closed the door, and the toddler promptly used the key fob to lock the car, and then refused to press the right button to open the car. We arrived and readied a window for an urgent entry ( by breaking the glass in as controlled a fashion as we could manage) and suggested calling the AA as they may be able to open the car without having to break in! The AA arrived, and announced that he would be unable to open the car. AT this point we broke in, fished out he key fob, and released the baby. Stop: SSCC.
134 Mon 18/09/06 00:48 Van Fire, in the Water Lane area. A transit flat bed van with the crew cab well alight, Two BA with 1 Jet and 1 HPHR used to deal.
133 Fri 15/09/06 08:19 AFA at a factory unit, we know to be disused, on the Calmore industrial Estate. (See shout number 127) On arrival we found a work crew in the factory clearing it out. One of the crew had driven a fork lift truck into a sprinkler system pipe, fracturing a connection. The system had triggered, and this had triggered the fire alarm. No action by HFRS
132 Tue 12/09/06 20:42, Fire at a large chemical plant producing LPG in the Fawley area. This was a multi pump PDA, owing to the nature of the products involved, however, the fire was a small electrical fire in a plant room, and was out by the time the first pump booked in. We arrived at the site, in time to be turned around and sent home!
131 Tue 12/09/06 09:03 AFA at a local privately run sheltered block of flats for the elderly. Stop: A/C by toast.
130 Wed 06/09/06 19:01 RTC trapped, A337, Cadnam. A female driver had lost control of her car, approaching the roundabout, and the car had ended up on its roof, the other side of a ditch. The occupants of the car, who included to young children, were all out of the car on our arrival. The scene was made safe, and fire-fighters assisted ambulance in dealing with the three casualties.
129 Mon 28/08/07 17:01 Fire Pumps 6 Badminston Common (a different part to shout number 126!) A well developed and rapidly spreading gorse fire, which had to be knocked back as quickly as possible. Whilst as much work could be done to shuttle water on to the site, the fire was tackled, and within a short period of time was knocked back, and extinguished.
128 Mon 28/08/07 13:03 Lock out, emergency action required to gain entry, as a baby was inside. We were stood down by control after we arrived on station, the occupants had gained access.
127 Sat 26/08/06 01:53 AFA at an industrial unit and offices on the Calmore Industrial Estate. On arrival we found that the unit had fallen into disuse, as the occupants had moved on. No keyholder could be located, so after checking the building, for signs of fire, smoke etc., we left
126 Fri 25/08/06 15:53 Fire, pumps 6 Badminston Common, near Calshot. An area of gorse, bushes etc. had caught light, and the breeze was spreading the flames. Our task, as well as firefighting was to act as base pump, supplying other pumps in the vicinity. Firefighting and damping down operations were closed down at dusk.
125 Thu 24/08/06 20:04 report of woods on fire, at the foreshore, behind the sewerage works, in Marchwood. A bunch of schoo lkids had lit a bonfire to aid their party having received their exam results. The bonfire was small and on hard standing and away from the bushes and trees, so we took no action. The alarm had been ringing for some time, it appears, it is no longer forwarded automatically to the brigade. The residents were not happy. 123 Sun 20/08/06 03:36 Report of bushes on fire, in the car park of a local supermarket. A small fire was just dying down on our arrival, and 1 HPHR was used to damp the fire down. The cause cannot be considered to be accidental!
122 Tue 15/08/06 19:53 Contractors bonfire smouldering, at a hospital development, in the Calmore area. A pile of wood shavings and the like was quietly smouldering. 4 buckets of water, shovels, and forked were used to extinguish.

120 Sun 13/08/06 08:53 Report of a fire in a derelict property in the Hill Street area of Totton. On arrival we found a small fire involving the roof timbers of a flat roof, of the first floor. The building was already in a dangerous condition, and great care was taken to fight the fire from outside the perimeter. The fire was soon brought under control with 1 HPHR.
119 Fri 11/08/06 20:29 Report of a house fire, in the North Salisbury road area of Totton. On route we were informed by control that this was a false alarm. On arrival we found a small fire had taken place in the kitchen involving a pan on the stove, however the fire was out. Stop: Small fire, ground floor kitchen, OOA.
118 Fri 11/08/06 18:45. report of a garden on fire, in the Calmore Road area of Totton. On leaving the station we could see quite a plume of smoke going up from the incident. On arrival we found a large area of rubbish and foliage alight at the rear of a garden. The occupier of the house had started a bonfire to burn off some rubbish, he had then left the bonfire, and returned to find it well out of control, and spreading to his car parked next to the site, and a caravan parked in next doors garden. He then drove the car across the garden to get it out of the way, and a couple of neighbours pushed the caravan out of peril. 1 HPHR and 1 main jet used to deal.

116 Sun 06/08/06 18:36 SSC, motorbike leaking petrol, at the petrol station adjoining a supermarket in the West Totton Area. A newly painted tank ( and what a nice airbrush job it was) seemed to have caused a problem with the integrity of the tank. It appears that a makeshift repair had come adrift, causing petrol to leak from the tank. The content of the tank were siphoned off, and the spill treated with sand. Stop: SSCC.

114 Fri 04/08/06 19:15 Car fire, following RTC, A 326. A Minor nose to tale collision involving two private cars, had resulted in the tailing car catching fire. It was though that the initial collision may have ruptured a fuel line, which then ignited on the hot engine exhaust. The car was well alight on arrival, and two BA, with two HPHR were used to deal.
113 Fri 04/08/06 13:03 Grass fire, near the railway line, near to Fuliford Bog, in the new forest. Access was a problem, and it took us some time to arrive at the site of the fire. The All terrain Vehicle from Lyndhurst was in the area, and we called them up on the radio and asked them to pop along and assist in the damping down of a small fire in undergrowth. We could have tackled it with a knapsack pump or two, however, as they were near by! Stop: small fire, 1 HPHR.
112 Mon 31/07/06 Bushes on fire, in the Eling Area. A small area of bushes, by the side of the road, in the Eling area, had been practically dealt with by workers from the nearby wharf, by the time we arrived. A HPHR was used to finally damp down the scene.
111 Sat 29/07/06 04:34 Report of a man on top of a building site crane in the Ringwood Road area of Totton. Three pumps, and the aerial ladder from Salisbury were mobilised. The man had climbed down by the time anyone had arrived at the scene.
110 Tue 25/07/06 20:04 Report of a tanker leaking diesel on road, in a residential area of Totton. The police teamed up with us on the way to the shout, and when we found the tanker we thought it to be a bitumen tanker, with a small amount of bitumen leaking from the overflow pipe. We took no action, however the police went looking for the driver to have a chat about his choice of parking place!
109 Tue 25/07/06 01:39 Report of a coach on fire in a yard on Salisbury Road, Totton. On arrival we found a well developed fire, with three single decker busses, three minibuses, and two portacabins on fire, and a problem accessing through the gate. At the first instance we set up a ladder to access over the gate, however, we soon opened the gate using hydraulic cutting equipment. The fire was brought under control, and stopped from spreading any further, but not before considerable damage had been caused. Unaffected busses were moved out of the way to prevent further damage. Three pumps were called on at the height of the fire. No one was injured. The cause was though to be accidental, with an electrical fault in one of the portacabins the prime suspect!

106 Thu 20/07/06 04:23. Originally sent to initial call, pumps 4, flat fire, persons reported, at a tower block in the centre of Southampton, however, before we left the station control redirected us to stand-by at Redbridge Hill. There were no further call, and it seems that the call to the flat fire was a false alarm.
105 Wed 19/07/06 20:22 Report of a fire in a flat in the Houndsdown area of Totton. On arrival we found the flat with the smoke alarm sounding, and through the windows we could make out a slight smoke haze. We were able to gain access via a window, and found that the grill had been left on. The grill was switched off, and the flat ventilated. Stop: Small fire grill pan, OOA, ventilation in progress.

95 Mon 10/07/06 02:02 RTC, risk of fire, Jct 2 M27. On route we were informed that a milk lorry had left the road and had gone down an embankment. On arrival we found a lorry down the embankment, apparently after having misjudged the approach, and run straight thorough the junction. We provided light whilst we made sure the scene was safe, and continued to provide assistance during recovery, until such time as dawn came along, and made us redundant. Stop: RTC involving milk lorry, no persons trapped, scene made safe.
94 Sun 09/07/06 19:30 AFA at a car sales business, in the Junction road area of Totton. The owner was amazed to see us draw up outside, he was not aware that he had a fire alarm system! He was responding to a report of an intruder alarm.
93 Sun 09/07/06 AFA at a frozen food business, on the Houndsdown Industrial Estate. On arrival we found several police cars in the area, and they were surprised to see us, There were no alarms showing on the fire alarm panel, so it was assumed that there was a fault on the intruder alarm / notification equipment.

89 Sat 01/07/06 05:34 RTC trapped in the Deerleap area. An RTC involving a single car and a telegraph pole. One young male occupant of the car was trapped. The roof was removed to facilitate his removal from the car, and he was taken by ambulance to hospital.
88 Sat 01/07/06 00:19 Stand by at St Marys Fire Station. A fire involving persons reported in a high rise block of flats in the Thornhill area had emptied the city. We received no further calls, and returned home within an hour. The fire was reported to be OOA.
87 Tue 27/06/06 13:15 AFA at a distribution warehouse, on the Calmore Industrial Estate. It appears that a fork lift truck driver had driven a load of pallets into a break glass call point, triggering the alarm.

75 Sat 27/05/06 Report of a ship fire, at the Marine Terminal of Fawley Refinery. The ship was reported to be carrying aviation fuel! This was potentially a serious incident, and numerous pumps were sent on the PDA. On arrival we found a small fire in the funnel stack of the vessel, with a small fire being dealt with by the ships crew. The PDA from Hampshire fire and rescue was not required, and after ensuring that the fire was extinguished, we were all sent back home.

56 Thu 06/04/06 Car leaking petrol at a petrol station, on Michigan Way, Totton. It appears that a car had had some work completed on it, but the petrol tank had not been installed correctly, and the feeder pipe was still disconnected. The petrol was covered with sand, which was then cleared up. Stop: Scene made safe.
55 Wed 05/04/06 Fire, make pumps 6 at a storage and distribution warehouse, on the Nursling Industrial Estate. The fire had been well established by the time of the first call, and was out through the roof by the time we started to arrive. However within three hours the fire was under control and the area was being damped down. But this was not before the entire contents of the warehouse and some of the office had been completely destroyed. This was a large fire with up to ten or twelve pumps as well as two aerial appliances in attendance.
54 Mon 03/04/06 Kitchen fire, in the Brunel Road area of Redbridge. Two pumps attended, but the first pump on the scene decided they could deal with the problem prior to our arrival, so we returned to home station.
53 Sun 02/04/06 Chimney at an address in Andrews Close, Totton. The chimney was well alight on arrival with flames out the top of the pot. The chimney was rodded, which dealt with eh fire.

51 Fri 31/03/06 12:46 AFA at an office complex in the Rushington Area. On arrival an embarrassed employee told us that they had just completed testing the fire alarms, however they had informed their monitoring centre prior to testing. Stop: A/C by routine test of system.
50 Fri 24/03/06 20:04 Report of fire, at a private bungalow in the Hammonds Green area of Totton. A back boiler had split pouring water over the hearth, and control electric's, giving rise to a small puff of smoke. Stop: A/C by electrical fault, no action HFRS.
49 Fri 24/03/06 15:35 Bonfire in a field, in the West Totton area. A small unattended bonfire. 2 knapsack pumps, and two buckets of water were used to douse the fire.
48 Sun 19/03/06 11:12 Fire, at an address in the West Totton area, as we booked mobile, and left he station control informed us that this was Persons Reported. On arrival we found smoke issuing and commenced a search with BA. A small fire was found, quite quickly, which unfortunately involved a person. The fire was extinguished and the area cleared of smoke. The fire appeared to mainly involve the clothing of the casualty, who was lying on a bed. Regrettably the casualty did not survive.
47 Thu 16/03/06 00:07 Fire, type unknown, near to Broadlands Lakes. On arrival we found a large pile of wood, well alight, this was obvously a bonfire, but was not controlled as no one was in attendance with it. The main pump was set into a river, and three jets were used to damp down the fire.
46 Sat 11/03/06 15:15 Fence on fire, in the Houndsdown area. A large toy car had been set alight next to a fence, with fire spreading to a wood pile, and up the tree! Although this was not a big fire, it took quite some time to put out and dap down, due to stacks of wood, and access on to the site. Stop: Cause doubtful!

42 Wed 08/03/06 11:52 AFA, with smoke, at a large country house in the Woodlands area, used as a care home for the elderly. Three pumps were despatched. On arrival we found the alarm had been caused by steam from a washing machine which had boiled when it should not have done!
41 Tues 07/3/06 20:18 Stand by at Redbridge Hill Fire Station. Two fires in the greater Romsey area, had emptied a lot of the pumps from the area. We had not been at Redbridge for more than 10 minutes, when we were tipped out to one of the jobs at pumps 8. A cottage in a remote part of Michelmersh was well alight. On arrival we found a well developed fire, and a fair amount of activity going on. Water had to be pumped from several swimming pools to deal with the fire, which was beginning to die down. A while later we were relieved, gathered our kit together, and left the scene.
40 Mon 06/03/06 Report of rubbish on fire, at a factory unit, on the Calmore Estate. On arrival we found a transport container, used for storage, with smoke issuing. Two BA were committed, and a small fire dealt with. It appears that the container had been broken in to, and set alight. Stop: small fire, cause doubtful.

19:22 Car fire, following RTC, Rushington Roundabout. An RTC involving a single
car that had failed to negotiate the roundabout. The driver was relatively unscathed,
but the same could not be said for the road signs, or lamp post! The vehicle was
made safe, and recovered by duty recovery contractors. Stop: Scene made safe.

23 Sun 19/02/06 21:44 car fire, Jacobs Gutter Lane. A resonably new car, well alight on arrival. The police arrived ont he scene and informed us that it had been stolen the previous night. The cause of the fire was not though tto be accidental.

21 Thu 09/02/06 17:10 RTC, involving LGV, in the Marchwood area. On route control contacted us to inform us that there might be some leakage of chemicals, and asked us to check, and send an informative. On arrival we found the lorry parked in a bank, amongst bushes. The driver was out, and receiving a check up from ambulance staff. It appears that he had blacked out, and the lorry had run off the road. There were no injuries, and the lorry seemed to be remarkably unscathed. The lorry was checked, and we found no leaks, so we left the scene, in the hands of the police.
20 Wed 08/02/06 20:50 SSC, cat trapped in suspension of car, at an address in the Water Lane area of Totton. We were turned back by control on route, as they had been informed that the cat had been released, and we were no longer required.
19 Mon 06/02/06 18:59 Just as we were gathering from drill night, the bells went down for:- Fire, make pumps 2, at a garage premises in Cadnam. It appears that a small refuse fire in a bin, had spread to a building, and two vehicles. The fire was well under control by the time we arrived, so we assisted with some of the tasks, before returning to home station.

6 Sat 14/01/06 13:15 RTC Trapped, on the Junction of the A326, and A36. An RTC involving one private car, which had lost control, hit a road sign and a lamp post, and ended up upside down on the verge. The driver had scrambled from the car, with minor injuries, and was breathalised by the police. The car was recovered and the area made safe.

3 Fri 06/01/06 Chimney fire at a private in the Woodlands area. The scare had started when the lady of the house thought she could see smoke rising from the side of a grate, where they had a fire the previous night. Stop: A/C by visible dust.
2 Mon 02/01/06 00:37 Car fire, Totton Causeway. A small fire that seemed to have started in the radio of a car, and had been spreading to the dashboard. The police were there first on the scene, and had used a dry powder extinguisher, to deal. We made the scene safe.
